I’m an artist living and working in London.
Control and obsession creates an exterior case, whilst the inside has
the potential to explode and pour out.
Through the manipulation of found materials, often industrial and
synthetic, I create masks to hide vulnerability. These surfaces provide
a concrete way to express that which is soft or can’t be articulated.
Also, their imprint and threat to the natural world combined with their
intimate role in human life draws on my attraction to destruction and
I create sculptures by bringing together many individual pieces. It is
often through repetitive movements that the structures form, slowly
untangling and bringing internalised feelings to the surface. At the
same time providing a calm and focused space for an uncomfortable mind.
‘When life around me is falling apart I hold it together with whatever
is in reach; glue, tape, thread. And consequently pull it to pieces when
I need to. Stillness not being a satisfying state.’
As well as sculpture, I love to paint or make marks in some way or
another. Over the past few years I have worked on collaborations in
fashion, performance and sound.

Since studying media production at college 15 years ago, I’ve had an interest in photography. When I turned 21, I decided to make a career for myself in public service and I joined the Metropolitan Police.
After 10 years of hard work; ups, downs, 3 major incidents, suffering a breakdown with PTSD… and after the birth of my son, I decided that I needed to stop and start again.
I remembered my passion and love for photography all those years ago, and so Pedz Photography Ltd was born.
I started my own photography company earlier this year and handed in my resignation to the Metropolitan Police. I took a leap of faith and I trusted that it would all work out.
I have never been happier. Recently, I joined The Masters of Photography Association. I have now been given Certified status from their awarding body which is the next step to a full master photographer qualification.
I specialise in BTS photography, Fine Art / Fashion and Colour Flash. Working as a freelancer is extremely challenging at times, but being my own boss is such a freeing feeling!
I love the diversity and excitement of working with different people every day. I’ve worked on lots of different projects, including with celebrities, professional actors, trainers and performers, as well as new parents, baby shoots and brides and grooms on their wedding day.
I love my job. I can’t wait for what the future holds.
